Owls, coach Jimmy Lallathin part

Kennesaw State has parted ways with Jimmy Lallathin after just one season as the full-time head coach, sources told ESPN.

Lallathin was given the permanent job after the school let go of Lewis Preston. Preston had taken a leave of absence in January of the 2013-14 season, and Lallathin was named the interim at the time. He led them to three Atlantic Sun wins in the second half of last season, and then went 10-22 this season.

Lallathin was an assistant coach under Preston for two and a half season, and also spent four seasons on staff at Miami (Ohio).
