If Dillon Brooks is healthy, Oregon will quack loudly

No. 10: OREGON DUCKS

Last season: 31-7, 14-4 Pac-12

This one largely depends on the health of Dillon Brooks, who missed the entire summer after foot surgery. Dana Altman has other quality players: Guard Tyler Dorsey, long and athletic shot-blocker Chris Boucher and starting point guard Casey Benson, who had a stellar 5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio last season. But if Brooks isn't close to 100 percent, the Ducks aren't close to the same team. -- Jeff Goodman

Best case: Pac-12 champs, Final Four. Last season, the Ducks were outstanding in Pac-12 play and in the NCAA tournament. The selection committee rewarded the quality resume, and Oregon managed the first three tests in the tournament very effectively. With Dillon Brooks, Oregon has a Wooden Award candidate. With Tyler Dorsey, Chris Boucher and Villanova transfer Dylan Ennis, Dana Altman has plenty of talent to make a legitimate run at the Final Four. I think a little bit more of the Ducks than the polls do.

Worst case: Sweet 16. Unless there are significant injuries, Oregon is a second-weekend team. There is simply too much talent. The issue is defense. If the Ducks defend on a high level, this team has already knocked on the Final Four door, and could very well knock that door down.
