Colorado Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau and Oakland Athletics All-Star third baseman Josh Donaldson have been picked to complete the participants for Monday's Home Run Derby at Target Field in Minneapolis.
Morneau spent 11 seasons in Minnesota with the Twins and won the 2008 derby at old Yankee Stadium. He is hitting .313 with 13 home runs this season.
Donaldson, one of a big league-high six Athletics picked to participate in the All-Star Game, is hitting .241 with 20 homers on the season.
"It's definitely pretty neat," he said. "It will be one of those things that adds icing to the cake. Hopefully I'll be able to put on a show."
The American League derby lineup includes Toronto's Jose Bautista, Oakland's Yoenis Cespedes, Baltimore's Adam Jones and Minnesota's Brian Dozier. Cespedes won last year's event at New York's Citi Field.
The National League lineup includes Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki, Miami's Giancarlo Stanton, the Los Angeles Dodgers' Yasiel Puig and Cincinnati's Todd Frazier.
As captains, Bautista and Tulowitzki chose the other players to represent their respective leagues.
