SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Tim Tebow delivered his first walk-off hit as a member of the New York Mets organization on Monday.

Tebow's bases-loaded single up the third-base line and into left field plated Yankees prospect Tyler Wade with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Scottsdale rallied for a 4-3 win against Mesa in Arizona Fall League action.

"It feels good just to be with these guys and having fun with them and have a come-from-behind win," Tebow told reporters. "We've given up a few of these this year, so it feels good to get one. Those are the situations you love. I mean, that's fun -- a lot of pressure, but they're fun moments."

Tebow finished 1-for-4 with a walk and strikeout. He was starting his first game in left field in a week.

Tebow had been pulled from a game the previous Monday after injuring his right knee on an awkward slide into second base. Tebow returned to game action Thursday as Scottsdale's designated hitter, then departed for the weekend for his college-football broadcasting duty.

Tebow had spent the pregame Monday speaking with Reggie Jackson, a Yankees special advisor who was there monitoring that organization's prospects.

Tebow nonetheless is hitting .146 (6-for-41) with one double, two RBIs, three walks and 13 strikeouts through 12 AFL games. Only one qualifier in the league has a lower batting average -- Dodgers prospect Alex Verdugo, at .140.
