The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Friday that they have agreed to terms with left-handed reliever Wade LeBlanc, thus avoiding arbitration.
The Pirates acquired LeBlanc, 32, from the Seattle Mariners in September in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later.
LeBlanc posted a 0.75 ERA in eight appearances for the Pirates, striking out 10 over 12 innings. In 19 total appearances with Pittsburgh and Seattle, LeBlanc had a combined 3.77 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 62 innings.
