The St. Louis Cardinals have placed outfielder Stephen Piscotty on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin strain.
St. Louis announced the move before Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cardinals recalled outfielder Magneuris Sierra from Double-A Springfield in a corresponding roster move.
Piscotty, 26, was batting just .236 with six home runs this season.
