The Atlanta Braves traded for San Diego Padres catcher Raffy Lopez on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced.
Lopez played in 37 games for San Diego in 2018, hitting .176 with three home runs and 13 RBIs.
The 31-year-old Lopez also has played for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Toronto Blue Jays since making his major league debut in 2014. He is a career .184 hitter with seven homers and 26 RBIs.
