Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a sprained ligament in his right wrist, and he will undergo treatment with the expectation that he'll be able to return to the lineup once the pain subsides, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday night.
Antetokounmpo was examined in New York on Monday after playing in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday in Salt Lake City.
Playing for Team Giannis in its 184-175 victory over Team LeBron on Sunday night, Antetokounmpo ducked out of the lineup after scoring two points.
The Bucks, sitting in the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race, will play host to the Miami Heat on Friday night in their first action since the All-Star break.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists this season.
