The Jets began their OL rebuild by signing former Seahawks LT George Fant to a three-year, $30M contract that includes $13.7M in guarantees, per ESPN. It's a lot of money for a player with only 24 starts and has never played more than 63 pct of the snaps in a season. He's regarded as a low-end starter, high-end backup. He's athletic (former college hoops), but this is a bit of a head scratcher. It means they don't have to force a left-tackle pick in the draft.

The Giants added the veteran cornerback they desperately needed in James Bradberry. They had an especially young group of CBs with nobody over the age of 24 currently under contract. The Giants also like Bradberry's ability to play man coverage, having matched against other teams' top WRs in Carolina. It also probably didn't hurt that Dave Gettleman drafted him in Carolina.

Jets' FA priorities: 1.) Rebuild the O-line. Two reasons: Protect Sam Darnold and improve run game. RT Jack Conklin an excellent run blocker: 2.) Speed on offense. This means re-signing WR Robby Anderson. Failing that, this becomes a draft priority; 3.) Corners. Need at least two. Re-signing Brian Poole would help. 4,) Edge. DE Dante Fowler on the radar. Lurking in the weeds for Jadeveon Clowney? That would be expensive and risky.
