Sale Sharks have bolstered their front-row options ahead of next season with the signing of Romanian international Alexandru Tarus on a two-year deal.
Tarus, who has 16 Romania caps, is currently in the PROD2 with Beziers.
Director of rugby Steve Diamond said: "Alexandru is a great signing for us, he can play on both sides of the scrum although he is a specialist tight-head.
"He is a big lad at 1.85m, weighing 125kgs and he will, I am sure, fit perfectly at Sharks."
Tarus added: "This is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premiership. I know Vadim Cobilas well and he told me what a great club Sale Sharks are to play for."
