England centre Piers Francis has been cited for a dangerous tackle on Will Hooley in his side's 45-7 victory over the United States at the Rugby World Cup Thursday.
Francis was not sanctioned during the Pool C match in Kobe, and was cited by World Rugby after the game, which also saw U.S. flanker John Quill sent off for a shoulder charge on England's Owen Farrell.
Quill's red card was the first of the tournament, resulting in a three-match ban that may see the flanker miss the rest of his nation's World Cup campaign.
Meanwhile, Francis became the fifth player to face the judiciary this week for dangerous tackles.
Earlier in the week, World Rugby criticised referees at the competition for inconsistency around their judgements in opening weekend fixtures.
England next face Argentina in Pool C on Oct. 5, while the U.S. face France on Oct. 2.
