Harriet Dart has missed out on the quarterfinals of the Birmingham Classic after losing in straight sets to opponent Barbora Krejcikova in their round-of-16 match.
The British No. 2 tried to fight her way back from a 5-1 trail during the second set, winning three consecutive games but was stumped by the Czech player, ending the match 6-3, 6-4 in just under 90 minutes.
During last year's tournament, Dart made it to the quarterfinals but the home favourite was not able to beat last year's run against this years No. 2 seed. Dart was the last Brit left in the competition this year.
Elsewhere in British tennis, British men's No. 1 Jack Draper beat reigning champion in the Queen's Club Championship Carlos Alcaraz in their Round-of-16 match.
