Draft-day thoughts from first-rounders

BRISTOL, Conn. -- Guards Courtney Vandersloot, Danielle Robinson and Jasmine Thomas were each selected in the first round of Monday's WNBA draft. Below are brief video interviews with each, as well as comments from Ohio State post Jantel Lavender.

Gonzaga's Courtney Vandersloot, picked No. 3 by Chicago in the WNBA draft, talks about playing with center Sylvia Fowles and looks forward to living in the Windy City.

Ohio State's Jantel Lavender, picked fifth by Los Angeles in the WNBA draft, talks about moving to the West Coast from her native Ohio and playing alongside Candace Parker.

Oklahoma's Danielle Robinson, chosen No. 6 by San Antonio, said she is looking forward to the move down Interstate 35 from Norman to the Alamo City, where she'll team with veteran guard Becky Hammon.

Duke's Jasmine Thomas, the No. 12 pick in the first round by defending WNBA champion Seattle, talks about moving cross-country to the West coast and playing with veteran point guard Sue Bird.
