          March Madness has arrived for prep girls basketball

          MADISON, WI. -- With the WIAA girls basketball playoffs underway on Tuesday night, following are a few predictions for which teams will compete at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon in March for one of five state championships.

          For the second year in a row, teams are seeded at the state tournament level.

          Appleton North (Division 1), Beaver Dam (Division 2), Marshall (Division 3), La Crosse Aquinas (Division 4) and Bangor (Division 5) are the defending champions.

          2019 Girls Basketball State Tournament Predictions

          Division 1: Mukwonago over Middleton; Appleton East, Bay Port

          Division 2: Beaver Dam over New Berlin Eisenhower; Monona Grove, Hortonville,

          Division 3: Marshall over Laconia; Amherst, G-E-T

          Division 4: La Crosse Aquinas over Melrose-Mindoro; Milwaukee Academy of Science, Colby

          Division 5: Black Hawk over Clayton; Fall River, Newman Catholic
