Bracketology: St. John's-Duke rematch?

St. John's fans should feel pretty good heading into the final week of the regular season. The Red Storm are comfortably in the NCAA Tournament field as of now, according to Monday's edition of ESPN.com's Bracketology.

Joe Lunardi is currently projecting St. John's (20-9, 9-7 Big East) as a No. 8 seed -- facing No. 9 seed Texas A&M in the first round before a likely rematch with No. 1 seed Duke. Remember, the Red Storm gave the Blue Devils a strong challenge at Madison Square Garden in late January before wilting down the stretch.

St. John's has road games at Marquette and No. 6-ranked Villanova this week, before next week's Big East Tournament. The Red Storm have clinched at least a .500 mark in the conference, but would be wise to win at least one more game to feel safe on Selection Sunday.

Iona (24-7, 17-3 MAAC) won the Metro Atlantic regular season championship by two games over Rider. The Gaels are currently projected as a No. 13 seed in the Big Dance. They will play the Siena-Niagra winner in the MAAC Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday at noon.

St. Francis of Brooklyn (21-10, 15-3 NEC) won the Northeast regular season championship by three games over Robert Morris and Bryant. The Terriers are currently projected as a No. 16 seed in the Big Dance. They will host rival LIU-Brooklyn in the NEC Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
