NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion is planning to enter the transfer portal, he said Sunday.
The 5-foot-11, 189-pound sophomore recorded 460 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 53 receptions this season for the Wolfpack (6-6).
Concepcion earned Freshman All-America honors in 2023 and was the ACC's Rookie of the Year as well as a second-team All-ACC selection after catching a team-high 71 passes -- the most by a freshman in program history -- and producing 839 receiving yards, 320 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
The former three-star recruit from Charlotte is expected to garner significant interest from Power 4 contenders when he officially enters the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 9, the first day underclassmen are permitted to enter.
His younger brother, wide receiver Arrion Concepcion, decommitted from NC State in November and committed to Kansas State.
Concepcion opened this season with nine catches for 121 yards and three touchdowns against Western Carolina, but he did not record another 100-yard performance over the rest of the season. NC State lost transfer quarterback Grayson McCall to a career-ending concussion in October and turned to true freshman CJ Bailey to start the final six games of the season.
