UConn releases presentation submitted to Big 12

After the Big 12 Conference's announcement on Monday that it won't expand beyond its current 10 member schools, many of the schools that were finalists to join the conference revealed their sentiments.

In the wake of being denied a spot, UConn made public a number of documents that it had submitted to the Big 12 -- documents that were previously confidential.

The documents include a letter from Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, fact sheets (school and athletics) and videos regarding academics, facilities and greatest moments.

Statements from UConn's president, board of trustees chairman and athletic director were also included.

"While I am sure many in our community are nervous about what this means for our future, I am confident that we have put our best foot forward in considerable effort to demonstrate how we currently operate our university and athletics programs at a 'Power 5' level and will continue to do so," President Susan Herbst said in a statement.
