As we wind down to signing day in the 2012 recruiting cycle, the Georgia Bulldogs are still in the mix for more than a dozen highly touted prospects in this class. With the number of spots remaining hovering in the double digits, a number of longtime targets still are considering the Bulldogs, and a few new names recently have emerged. DawgNation gives its take at the top 10 targets on the board for Georgia.
1. Avery Young
OT, 6-foot-5, 292 pounds
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens
Target logistics: Let's face it, Georgia needs all of the offensive linemen it can get, and Young is one of the most athletic tackle prospects in the country. What makes Young special, besides his incredible frame, is his ability to excel equally in the run game and in pass protection. With the balanced pro-style offense run by Mark Richt and Mike Bobo, a tackle like Young could fit right in and start for years to come, possibly even next year. Simply put, Young is a huge need as Georgia tries to close out strong in this class.
