AUSTIN, Texas -- The day started with a bang, but Texas' first junior day to formally kick off the 2014 recruiting season didn't end like those legendary ones that saw 10 new pledges.
That doesn't mean Sunday's junior day was any less important. If anything, the event served as just one more reminder that times are changing.
Recruits got the usual red-carpet treatment. They toured campus, tried on uniforms, met coaches and players. They snapped photos. They bonded.
