How the 2013 class might look

Recruiting always has been an inexact science when it comes to numbers, but last year -- the first of three impacted by scholarship restrictions -- USC coaches found out how difficult it can be to juggle needs, wants and commitments in a class of only 15 players.

The class of 2013 has 18 available scholarships for the Trojans -- the 15 allowable scholarships, plus three backdated early-enrollee spots -- and WeAreSC takes a look at how those 18 might be divided up among various positions.

Quarterback: 1
Even with the scholarship reductions and taking two quarterbacks in the 2011 class, Lane Kiffin still made a hard run at Washington signee Cyler Miles in the closing weeks of the 2012 recruiting cycle. It's never a bad idea to bring in at least one quarterback with every class, and after missing on one last year, the Trojans almost certainly will sign one in 2013. Matt Barkley will be gone after this season, and the remaining three quarterbacks are so tightly bunched, there is no telling whether or not all of them will finish their college careers as Trojans.
