LAKEWOOD, Calif. -- Hair no longer flows out the back of Toa Lobendahn's helmet, but the Class of 2014 offensive lineman is still the same mean player he has always been.
The locks are gone, the drive is not.
This much was evident in the second half of Friday night's 16-13 Moore League victory against visiting Long Beach (Calif.) Cabrillo, when the 6-foot-4, 274-pound Lobendahn showed no mercy against a helpless 5-foot-5 defender. Lobendahn treated the undersized opponent just as he would a massive defensive lineman, knocking him back with ease and displaying the mean streak that helped earn him a spot in USC's 2014 recruiting class.
