Kyle Jamieson, Player of the Match: Very nice to be back on home soil, pretty favorable conditions. I guess you plan for a little bit of carnage, so when you do get conditions like that, it makes the job a bit easier. Nice all-round team clinical performance. We certainly got a good crop of players, great depth, some guys can exploit conditions especially here and all around the world. (on Duffy) The whole partnership side of T20 cricket and bowling is massive; I think between both of us with Zak as well, just great effort from pace bowlers.

Michael Bracewell, New Zealand Captain: Was a great day in front of a great crowd. We have played against them domestically and to have them in the same team, it was super difficult for them (Pakistan). Had to hold Kyle (Jamieson) back for the 4th over. It was difficult to keep them off the attack...maybe we could have restricted them to a lesser score but it is always a challenge to rotate bowlers around in shorter formats

Salman Agha, Pakistan Captain: It was obviously difficult, we weren't up to the mark. They bowled really well, bowled in the right areas and got the ball to seam and swing. Debutants will learn as they play and they have to learn quickly as well. We'll look to bounce back

A comprehensive victory for New Zealand to go one up in the five-match series; the home side couldn't have asked for a better start to the series. They were clinical in all departments of the game while Pakistan were well below par, capitulating to 91 and getting bowled out inside 20 overs, which was never going to be enough to defend. Chaos remained the order of the day as Pakistan found it tough to deal with the quality pace bowling and the early dent proved too fatal. In reply, Seifert's pyrotechnics and Allen's able support ensured they coasted home without any drama. Thank you for your company and good day to you all!

Mohammad Ali to Allen, FOUR, Delivery zoomed in and rose a fair bit but the line is not quite right, shuffles across and hits it away to vacant deep fine leg area for a four and Allen is surprised at the umpire who has called for drinks with only two runs away from a resounding win

Anwaar: "Can anyone explain ? Why did PCB change the entire composition of a T20I format squad in response to poor performance in a completely different ODI format ? Babar, Abdullah Shafique, Naseem, Haris Rauf etc would have surely added value today. Don't forget Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub to return too"

Mohammad Ali to Allen, 2 runs, Back of a length with some room outside off, plinked out to deep cover and it's a comfortable couple of runs

Usman: "Pakistan struggled with their batting, going for aggressive shots without properly assessing the conditions. With a low total on the board, there's not much left in the game for New Zealand to chase. Aggression doesn't mean swinging blindly, losing wickets, and putting unnecessary pressure on the middle order. A disappointing performance by Pakistan so far."

Shadab Khan to Robinson, no run, Excellent googly, rapped him on the pads at leg, half-hearted appeal, looks leg-sidish, no real interest to take a second opinion but they go upstairs in the dying moments of the timer, missing leg-stump by a whisker
