- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR29.2 some relief for SL at last! Prasanna bowls it flat and towards leg stump, Hafeez tried to pull it but was on the shot too early, the ball ended up rebounding off the pads onto the leg stump 151/132.1 The captain himself has shown the way, Farhat tried to repeat that six., stepped down the track to launch him over long-on, it was a much flatter shot but the elevation wasn't enough to clear Jayawardene 161/233.5 Another one bites the dust! Very similar in style to Farhat's fall, he steps down the track to clear long-on, can't clear the fielder, hit flat to Perera 167/349.3 that's a direct hit at the bowler's end and that looked very close even at normal speed, the ball was pushed to mid-on and Prasanna released the ball immediately after gathering it, Younis was well short and dropped his bat after reaching the crease, the third umpire confirms it 256/835.5 and Malinga hits back in the way he knows best - at the stumps, Umar moved across his stumps to play an adventurous flick to fine leg, beaten for pace, the ball hammered the leg stump, you have to say that Umar squandered the opportunity to build on the powerplay 177/439.3 This was comical! Misbah stayed at the crease to gently dab it to the on side, there was a quick single there for the taking and Younis charged off from the wordgo, Misbah however wasn't interested and stayed put, Malinga ran to the batsman's end, gathered the ball and Misbah and him had a running race to the other side, Malinga whipped off the bails. Well there was no competition in that race in the first place, Misbah threw in the towel long before 193/545.1 That pretty much went into orbit! Fine catch in the end by Angelo just a few yards in front of the sightscreen, Afridi stayed at the crease and gave it everything, massive skier 226/646.6 trademark Malinga, Inswinging yorker, Sarfraz makes room but only manages a thick inside edge onto his stumps, what a comeback by Sri Lanka 234/7Extras14 (lb 4, nb 1, w 9)TOTAL257/8 (50 Overs, RR: 5.14)Did not bat: Saeed AjmalFall of wickets: 1-151 (Mohammad Hafeez, 29.2 ov), 2-161 (Imran Farhat, 32.1 ov), 3-167 (Abdul Razzaq, 33.5 ov), 4-177 (Umar Akmal, 35.5 ov), 5-193 (Misbah-ul-Haq, 39.3 ov), 6-226 (Shahid Afridi, 45.1 ov), 7-234 (Sarfaraz Ahmed, 46.6 ov), 8-256 (Younis Khan, 49.3 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.2 what a response! The off stump is flattened! I'm not sure Tharanga actually saw that because it appeared to skid off the pitch, he was rooted to the crease, the ball landed on a good length, held its line and hit the top of the off stump, landed a yard or two back. This is Gul's first wicket in the one-day series 5/127.2 a freak dismissal and it's Afridi again! Afridi slides it down the leg side, it was so wide that Dilshan may well have left it, he went for the sweep anyway but the ball ended up hitting his arm and then spun towards the stumps, Dilshan tried to bat it away but it was too late 133/322.4 it's that man again, Afridi! Sangakkara clipped it towards mid-on to keep the score moving but Dilshan wasn't interested as it was anyway going to be a sharp single, too late as Sangakkara was already at the other end of town, Afridi's direct hit at the batsman's end send the off stump for a spin, Sanga was furious as he walked back, i don't need to describe Afridi's celebration... 111/239.3 the unpredictability continues! Chandimal comes down the pitch, tries to carve Ajmal inside out over the off side field, it's an odd looking shot because he was never in full control of it, Malik jogs back from point and takes the catch 186/535.1 Ajmal bowls from round the wicket, beats the batsman with extra bounce, Mahela is well forward and tries to drag his foot back, Sarfraz whips off the bails in a flash and he's super confident, the third umpire takes a look, very very tough call but the third umpire reckons his foot was in the air. It was a tight one but I think the umpire may have got it right. When the bail was off the rim, Mahela's foot was in the danger zone, excellent work by Sarfraz 168/440.2 big appeal, rather a vociferous appeal for lbw and the umpire gives him out, Malinga decides to review it, the googly cuts back in and hits him above the knee roll on the back pad as he prod forward to defend, no evidence of bat involved and the third umpire agrees with the original decision, that was hitting the stumps 186/644.5 another twist here! Mendis' cameo comes to an end, he shuffles across a bit too much to clip it towards fine leg, the ball lands on middle stump (from round the wicket) and hits him in line with the stumps, the bat wasn't far away, the umpire was convinced 218/745.5 he's got it to go straight through! Perera was foxed, the ball landed on off and straightened, played down the wrong line and he lost his off stump 224/848.2 the slog sweep and Afridi takes the catch, Prasanna got forward and tried to get under the bounce and slog it over deep midwicket, the slower ball did him in, Afridi was there to take it 235/948.5 Timber! Gul finishes the innings the same manner in which he started, full and straight on the pads, Fernando was rooted to the crease, the ball hits his pad and rebounds to the off stump 236/10Extras15 (lb 5, w 10)TOTAL236 all out (48.5 Overs, RR: 4.83)Fall of wickets: 1-5 (Upul Tharanga, 0.2 ov), 2-111 (Kumar Sangakkara, 22.4 ov), 3-133 (Tillakaratne Dilshan, 27.2 ov), 4-168 (Mahela Jayawardene, 35.1 ov), 5-186 (Dinesh Chandimal, 39.3 ov), 6-186 (Lasith Malinga, 40.2 ov), 7-218 (Jeevan Mendis, 44.5 ov), 8-224 (Thisara Perera, 45.5 ov), 9-235 (Seekkuge Prasanna, 48.2 ov), 10-236 (Dilhara Fernando, 48.5 ov)
