4.4 shocking shot from de Villiers. Short and wide of his off stump, he tried to pull it but was in two minds and might as well have uppercut it over the slips. Neither eventuated and he got a thin edge through to the wicketkeeper 9/1
12.5 gone this time! Younis Khan did well there to keep his head at first slip after the parry from Akmal. Smith misjudges the wrong one, there's a big swish, and sends the edge to Akmal and it pops off his left glove to be snapped at first slip. A great start for Pakistan, three wickets early on, with Kaneria striking in his first over 40/3
8.3 GODDIM! Short, drifting down the leg side and rising on Amla who tried to work it to leg, realised it was too short but couldn't get his gloves out of the way 27/2
29.2 GODDIM! That was brilliant bowling! Wide of the crease, angled in, straightened off the pitch from a full length, and Kallis's defensive prod ends up in the gloves of Kamran Akmal, low to his right. That is a massive breakthrough for Pakistan, and South Africa are in deep, deep trouble 83/6
17.6 flashes hard at that one, and it flies straight at first slip's face who does well to stand firm and take that palm upwards. Pakistan's tails are up and South Africa are, well, struggling is an understatement 49/4
22.4 gone this time! Kaneria strikes again, with the googly, Gibbs on one knee trying to smash a sweep shot and completely missing. It crashes into his thigh, low, and would have gone on to hit leg. Easy decision for the umpire and Kaneria could have had him out three times in the last three balls, so finally gets his reward 58/5
38.6 not so watchful anymore! That's a horrid smear from Boucher - down on one knee to slap the ball through midwicket, but he manages only a toe-ended edge to Younis Khan at slip, who clings onto a blinding reflex chance. That's a massive breakthrough. 120/8
33.1 sucker punch! Pollock was braced for something more venomous than that, and instead chipped a leg-stump half-volley into the incredulous hands of Mohammad Sami at square leg! A brief but eventful innings comes to an end 89/7
39.1 another one! That's two in two balls, and Kaneria was the man again. Banged in from Asif, a flapped hook from Nel, and Danish stooped at deep fine leg to hold onto an excellent low chance! Brilliant stuff from Pakistan, but average batting from the Boks 120/9

39.6 and that's the end of that. Back of a length, Harris threw the kitchen sink at it, and Hameed at cover was on hand to intercept a simple chance! 124/10

7.2 GONE! Wider of the crease and short of a length but it didn't rise on Hafeez as much as he expected. Trying to pull it he got a top edge over Hashim Amla, at short leg, who skipped backwards and took a useful catch above his head. Careless, wasteful shot 17/2
1.2 GONE! Short of a length and Ntini cut this one away just enough from the left hander who fended it, awkwardly, to third slip 0/1
39.4 GONE! A nasty, rising delivery squaring the batsman up who guides it to Gibbs at gully. What a time to lose a wicket 135/5
7.5 and another one bites the dust! Hameed pushes hard at the ball, which is short of a length and angled into the channel outside off, and de Villiers at third slip holds onto a sharp low chance! This is a bonkers day of cricket, on a pitch that is nothing more than lively 19/3
25.1 GODDIM! Gone! The drinks break strikes again as Pollock swings this into the batsman who is struck very high on the pad - going over the top, perhaps? - and Doctrove raises his finger 79/4
40.2 gone! Better bouncer this time, hurrying Akmal; another hook, another mishook rather, and it flies to Ashwell Prince at deep square leg who, steadying himself, took a fine catch 135/6
47.6 and Ntini strikes! that's wicket number 300 for him! short of a good length delivery and this one nipped back in sharply, too good a delivery for Sami and he ends up playing outside the line. Ball clips the inside edge and Boucher takes a good catch diving across to his left. 166/7

54.1 and the short ball claims another victim! Kallis hits the right line and length and the ball climbed on Akhtar, in the end it was a by-the-book tailender's fend. Ball clips the glove and goes straight to Boucher behind the stumps. 184/8
55.5 Gotcha! The bouncer nails another victim! Banged in short, outside the off stump, Kaneria starts to sway away, the ball follows him and he fends it away, eyes off the ball, and it pops up to Gibbs at gully. Will Inzy be left stranded? Will he start going for the broke now? 191/9
75.6 bowled'm! good length delivery, pitched on and around the leg stump and angling across the left-hander. Asif makes room and pokes at it, not sure what he was attempting to do, whatever it was he fails to make contact and the ball hits the top of the off stump. Wicket number 301 for Ntini and Inzi is stranded on 92. 265/10

8.1 gone! Cracking ball, and catch. On off stump, just short of a length and Smith follows it, guides it, to Inzamam at first slip who drops to his left and takes a very fine catch 18/1
14.4 what a ball! After the attempted bouncer, Asif pitched it up; swinging into de Villiers who played all around it, his off stump pegged back. A hopeless shot and de Villiers's troubles continue 30/2
28.6 gone! Full and straight - and quick, too - Amla, like de Villiers, played all around it. It deflected off his pad and his middle stump was sent atumblin' 61/3
90.5 lovely delivery, big wicket of Kallis, pitches just outside the off stump and strikes the pad in line with the stumps, loud appeal, given by umpire Parker. 205/6
56.2 GOT 'IM! there's the early breakthrough for Pakistan, just what they needed. Prince plays back, the ball turns into him and strikes him on the pad. Peter Parker raises his finger but Prince doesn't look happy although replays don't show too much wrong with it. Vital blow for Pakistan and Kaneria opens his account. 117/4
86.6 fuller length delivery outside the off stump, Gibbs looks to drive through the off side, gets the edge to Younis Khan at second slip, who takes it low down to his left. That was a loose shot. 195/5
120.5 short in length outside the off stump, Boucher cuts hard, gets the edge to Younis Khan at first slip at comfortable height, who takes the catch on the second attempt. 289/8
115.1 Kaneria strikes immediately, a soft dismissal, tossed up on the stumps, driven straight back to Kaneria who gobbles it up...and then does a jingle 285/7

19.2 Pollock strikes! That pitched just outside off stump, Hafeez moved across and tried to flick, he fell over and the ball angled into him and rapped him on the pads, the umpire upholds the appeal but replays show that it was just missing leg stump, Hafeez's exaggerated movement across his stumps is what could have done him in 48/3
12.4 and the plan works to perfection! they played on his patience and finally Farhat falls into the trap. Followed up the short deliveries with a fuller length delivery outside the off stump, again slanting away from the left-hander. Farhat plays a loose drive and the thick edge is cleanly snaffled by Kallis at second slip. Ntini with the all important breakthrough. 29/1
14.5 here we go! pushed away towards extra cover and they take off for a suicidal run. Clearly there was no single there, hard to say who called but since the ball went to extra cover I assume that it was Hammed who called for it. Anyway Andre Nel scores a direct hit at the bowler's end and Hammed is caught short of his crease. This is the last thing Pakistan wanted - I am sure South Africa won't mind it. 35/2

35.6 Pollock strikes back and it's crucial breakthrough! short of a good length delivery outside the off stump, Yousuf goes back and across in an effort to runs it away through gully but he fails to get on top of the bounce and the edge goes straight to Gibbs at gully. 87/4
38.2 Ntini nails Inzi for a solitary one and it's game on here at Port Elizabeth! good length delivery, pitched close to the off stump line and nipping back in. Inzi shuffles back and across and pulls across the line, fails miserably to make contact and the ball crashes into the pad. Loud appeal and up goes the dreaded finger. Pakistan five down and in trouble here. 92/5
