There's not a whole lot going on today as India's athletes continue to fine-tune their preparations for the Paris Olympics. What happened yesterday?

  • Athletics: Avinash Sable clocked a new national record of 8:09.91 to finish sixth in the men's 3000m steeplechase at the Paris Diamond League, while Kishore Kumar Kena finished eighth in the men's javelin event.

  • Athletics: Long jumper Jeswin Aldrin and 5000m runner Ankita Dhyani qualified for Paris Olympics through world ranking quota.

  • Squash: Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthilkumar claimed the men's doubles title at the Asian Doubles Squash Championships.

  • Badminton: Priyanshu Rajawat lost to France's Alex Lanier in the singles semis of the Canada Open Super 500.

  • Cricket: The Indian men's team beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the second T20, while the women's match between India and South Africa was abandoned due to rain.
