  • Badminton: India's campaign at the Arctic Open ended in the second round as Lakshya Sen lost squandered a one-game advantage to lost in his first match since the Olympics in August.

  • Table tennis: The Indian men lost to Chinese Taipei in the semifinal of the team event at the Asian Table Tennis Championships, but secured a third consecutive bronze medal in this event.

  • Chess: The upGrad Mumba Masters pulled off a massive upset by outwitting tournament leaders PBG Alaskan Knights, denying them direct qualification to the finals

  • Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha on Thursday barred the IOA staff from taking any instructions from joint secretary Kalyan Chaubey and the rest of the Executive Council members.
