As usual, let's look at three players that look a little different than what we thought they'd be and ask: Is this sustainable? Or, if the pattern is bad: Is this reversible?
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
What's up?
In this third season, 21-year-old Antetokounmpo continues to climb toward what figures to be a sky-high ceiling. He's stayed consistent in the athleticism-based categories while building on the skills part of his game. The result is not only impressive bottom-line improvement but his play of late has been elite on both ends of the floor. He's averaging 16.2 points in January on 52.3 percent shooting and the Bucks are outscoring opponents by 8.3 points per game with him on the floor, per basketball-reference.com. The Greek Freak, along with torrid teammate Khris Middleton, is helping Milwaukee climb out of its early hole.
