Man United to beat Spurs? Bet on Everton over Liverpool?

Liverpool's European reign is over after a breathless second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night. The Premier League action continues this weekend however and there's a huge game in the battle to finish in the top four as struggling Tottenham host Manchester United.

Running total: -£101.92

The Banker

After being bundled out of the Champions League in midweek, Tottenham face a 'must-win' clash against Manchester United on Sunday. Spurs were outclassed by RB Leipzig and the omens don't look good for Jose Mourinho's side. There's no fluidity or fluency to this Spurs team and crucially, no player looks to be enjoying themselves anymore.

Mourinho's men -- who have now not won in six games across all competitions -- will need to somehow find some form if they are to finish in the top four this season. However preference is for the Red Devils here, who put in arguably their best performance of the season last weekend to beat Manchester City for the second time in six weeks.

Manchester United have looked much more organised defensively in recent weeks and in Bruno Fernandes have a unearthed a real midfield gem. With Anthony Martial also flying up front, back United's revival under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to continue by winning in north London.

Selection: £5 on Manchester United to win at 6/5 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Aston Villa have won just one of their last nine meetings against Chelsea and look up against it this weekend. Frank Lampard's men have a top four finish firmly in their sights and look a good bet at Villa Park, with 11/5 on offer for Chelsea winning and both teams finding the net.

Elsewhere, Sheffield United look tempting at 5/4 to win at Newcastle. The Blades have only lost two away games this season and can win a tight one against a Newcastle side still struggling for goals.

Finally, add in Watford at 2/1 to beat Leicester. The Hornets have won the last three meetings between these teams at Vicarage Road and taken 13 points from their last six home games. The treble comes in at over 20/1 with bet365.

Selection: £4 on the treble at 20.6/1 with bet365.

The Euro Wager

Real Madrid host Eibar on Friday evening and, after last weekend's loss to Real Betis, this is a must win game for Los Blancos.

Three points would return them to the La Liga summit -- at least until Barcelona face Mallorca on Saturday -- and they should get them against an Eibar side who are poor travellers. Los Armeros are two points clear of the relegation zone as things stand, but have won just once in 13 league away games this season, scoring just seven times during that wretched run.

Selection: £5 on Real Madrid to win to nil at evens with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

The midweek postponement of Manchester City vs. Arsenal means Premier League leaders Liverpool can no longer win their first title since 1990 this weekend. However all eyes will be on Monday's Merseyside derby as Liverpool look to add to their commanding lead at the top of the table.

They go off as 8/11 favourites to beat Everton despite the fact that six of the last seven derbies at Goodison Park have finished all square. And while the Toffees were battered 4-0 by Chelsea last weekend, they've not lost any of their six matches at home since Carlo Ancelotti took charge. This run includes tricky assignments against the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

Man-for-man this Liverpool squad is far superior to that of their neighbours from across Stanley Park, but Jurgen Klopp's men have looked off the pace in recent weeks. Before Wednesday's Champions League return with Atletico Madrid the Reds had won just two of their last five matches in all competitions. It's been a physically demanding season and Everton will be bang up for this. With this in mind, a small punt on the home win at 15/4 could be the shout at Goodison.

Selection: £2 on Everton to win at 15/4 with bet365.
