Video: Real Madrid prodigy Jese is a part-time rapper

Proof that every cloud has a silver lining here, in that, despite pinging his cruciate ligament against Schalke earlier in the week and ruling himself out for the rest of the season, at least Real Madrid prodigy Jese Rodriguez has more time to dedicate to his burgeoning sideline in Spanish hip-hop.

How we've managed to make it this far without being aware of Jese's musical exploits is unknown, but the 21-year-old forward has indeed made a cameo appearance on a single called "Baila Conmigo" by rap collective Big Flow.

If we're honest, it's not exactly to our taste, though it's hardly the worst football/rap collaboration that's ever existed -- far from it in fact, for that honour goes, quite comfortably, to Def Jef, DJ Eric Vaughn and the 1990 USA World Cup squad.

If only there were an old adage about forgetting flights of fancy in order to focus on one's main source of income that we could spout at this juncture ...
