Sporting CP had a lot to celebrate in Thursday night's Europa League clash with Besiktas. Needing a win to book a spot in the next round, the Portuguese side came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 and secure second place ahead of their Turkish opponents.
Colombian forward Teo Gutierrez scored the crucial third goal and had a unique goal celebration: he took the referee's vanishing spray, normally reserved for free kicks, and tried to write a message on the pitch. The ref quickly noticed and derailed his bit of pitch art (though the Sporting star couldn't even figure out how to get the spray out the bottle), booking Teo for his troubles!
It's nice to see innovation in the modern era.
