The Barcelona defender has been heavily linked with a move to Everton in this window, but United could beat them to a deal for the Colombia international.

Mina is reportedly United's second priority, with Harry Maguire remaining their main defensive target this window.

If no agreement can be reached with Leicester for Maguire, then United will push forward with a €40 million bid for Mina.

Real Madrid chase Chelsea duo

Eden Hazard might be feeling a little confused about the latest transfer rumour emerging from Real Madrid.

The winger has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu in recent weeks, but the Mail now says that the La Liga giants want his Chelsea teammate Willian instead.

The Brazilian is thought to be part of a £100 million double swoop on the Blues, as Real also step up their bid to sign Thibaut Courtois.

According to the report, "Real's opening bid is being seriously considered," after Chelsea came close to selling Willian to Barcelona earlier in July before the Catalans turned to Malcom.

If Courtois finally departs, Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford -- whom the Times says will be offered an improved contract at Everton -- lead the list of potential replacements.

Maguire won't force move

Here's some transfer news that certainly won't improve Jose Mourinho's sour mood of late.

Despite the Man United manager's eagerness to bolster his squad with a move for Harry Maguire, the Mirror claims Leicester will refuse to sanction the defender's exit this summer.

To make matters worse, it's believed Maguire has no desire to force through a transfer, even though he is open to United's advances.

The Old Trafford club have commenced talks over a £65m deal, but have failed to find a breakthrough before their Premier League opener against the Foxes.

Chelsea want Caldara

Chelsea have cooled their interest in Gonzalo Higuain but are keen on the striker's Juventus teammate Mattia Caldara, says Corriere Della Sera.

The Blues have also been linked with a move for Bianconeri defender Daniele Rugani, but it's now reported that they would prefer to bring in Caldara instead.

The 24-year-old is yet to make a single appearance for Juve, having been loaned back to Atalanta for 18 months after joining the Serie A champions in January 2017.

Despite that, he could still command a price tag approaching €45m, which may test Chelsea's willingness to back Maurizio Sarri's pursuit of the Italy international.
