It's all change at Orlando Pirates yet again after the South African giants parted ways with Kjell Jonevret on Wednesday, just two weeks before the Premier Soccer League gets underway.
The Swede lasted just five months and is set to be replaced by Micho Sredojevic, who had a previous spell in charge of the side a decade ago.
Since the Serbian's exit in January 2007 there have been a remarkable 12 changes in the head coach position at Pirates, more than one per year.
Here are the men charged with bringing success to the Buccaneers since Micho was last at the helm.
BIBEY MUTOMBO
Nationality: DR Congo
Reign: January 2007 to September 2007
Record: P27 W13 D7 L7
Mutombo followed directly after Sredojevic's first spell in charge of Pirates, but after initial success found the going tough and was sacked after a 2-1 loss at Golden Arrows, part of a run of four defeats in five games.
He passed away through illness less than a year later on August 8, 2008.
OWEN DA GAMA
Nationality: South Africa
Reign: September 2007 to June 2008
Record: P28 W11 D8 L9
Da Gama had enjoyed good success at lowly Platinum Stars, who he took to second place in the league in the 2006/07 season and an unlikely Telkom Knockout success.
He also led Stars to a famous home win over Egyptian giant Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League, but the big stage at Pirates proved too tough and Da Gama resigned at the end of that same season with Pirates having finished eighth and having made no impression in the cups.
RUUD KROL
Nationality: Netherlands
Reign: July 2008 to June 2011
Record: P118 W60 D37 L21
Dutch coach Krol was shown the patience others in the Pirates hot-seat could only dream of, but did come up trumps in his third season when he won the 'Treble' of league, MTN8 and Nedbank Cup.
They also lost to Kaizer Chiefs in the final of the Telkom Knockout, denying Krol an unprecedented quartet of titles. Yet he still left at the end of the 2010/11 campaign as his three-year contract had come to an end and was not renewed.
He remains the longest-serving coach in Pirates history.
JÚLIO LEAL
Nationality: Brazil
Reign: July 2011 to March 2012
Record: P31 W18 D6 L7
Leal was something of a left-field pick as the man to replace Krol, but had some success previously by winning the Nedbank Cup with Moroka Swallows in 2009.
The Brazilian had also coached AmaZulu and was the brother of Bafana Bafana assistant Jairo Leal.
He started well enough by winning the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout titles, but performances waned and a first round exit from the CAF Champions League against Angolan side Recreativo do Libolo proved the final straw.
He was initially suspended and then finally officially sacked some three weeks later.
AUGUSTO PALACIOS
Nationality: Peru
Reign: March 2012 to September 2012
Record: P19 W9 D6 L4
Palacios' 'interim' spell in charge of the side lasted six months, showing signs of promise before fizzling out.
He was never officially sacked, but complained of a bad back that needed treatment as the reason why he left his post.
Commentators pointed out at the time that it might have been the four-game winless streak and successive 3-0 losses that did the trick ...
ROGER DE SA
Nationality: South Africa
Reign: September 2012 to January 2014
Record: P65 W31 D20 L14
Another left-field pick for many, De Sa led Pirates on a thrilling run to the Final of the CAF Champions League in 2013, where they lost to Al Ahly.
The Buccaneers were also beaten in the finals of the MTN8 (2013) and Telkom Knockout (2013) during his reign.
The former national team goalkeeper led the side to third in the 2012/13 season, five points behind eventual champions Kaizer Chiefs. He resigned in January 2014 and days later was installed at Ajax Cape Town.
ERIC TINKLER
Nationality: South Africa
Reign: January 2014 to February 2014
Record: P2 W1 D0 L1
Da Sa's assistant Tinkler was asked to hold the ship steady while the club prepared to bring in Vladimir Vermezovic, and he recorded a 2-1 win over Bidvest Wits and a 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.
It would be just a taster of things to come for Tinkler...
VLADIMIR VERMEZOVIĆ
Nationality: Serbia
Reign: February 2014 to December 2014
Record: P42 W20 D10 L12
Vermezovic had previously spent almost three seasons at Kaizer Chiefs, with limited success, so what Pirates thought he would bring to the club is unclear.
He did win the 2014 Nedbank Cup, but failed to get the team to fire in the league and was also hit hard by the murder of first-choice goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.
He resigned almost 10 months later, on the eve of the Soweto Derby.
ERIC TINKLER
Nationality: South Africa
Reign: December 2014 to June 2016
Record: P75 W36 D19 L20
Tinkler was given another shot at the top job, again in an 'interim' capacity that lasted 18 months!
He failed to win a trophy, but took the side to the 2013 CAF Confederation Cup Final, where they were beaten by Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
They also made the Final of the Nedbank Cup in 2016 but lost to SuperSport United.
A disappointing seventh place in the league counted against Tinkler as well and he was released at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, but immediately found success with Cape Town City.
MUHSIN ERTUGRAL
Nationality: Turkey
Reign: July 2016 to November 2016
Record: P9 W3 D4 L2
Ertugral's brief reign with the side was a disaster as he was involved in a public fight with Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah at an airport, and then resigned on live television after his side were thumped 6-1 by SuperSport United in a league game - at the time their joint worst ever defeat.
His side had also been ousted in the first round of the MTN8.
Ertugral had previously enjoyed success at Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town, bit these were three months he would like to forget.
AUGUSTO PALACIOS
Nationality: Peru
Reign: November 2016 to February 2017
Record: P12 W3 D4 L5
Palacios' bad back had long cleared by the time he was put in charge of the side again as an interim measure, but after three successive wins to start it all went downhill.
Included in his brief tenure was a 6-0 thrashing by Mamelodi Sundowns, the club's worst ever defeat.
KJELL JONEVRET
Nationality: Sweden
Reign: February 2017 to August 2017
Record: P19 W6 D8 L5
Jonevret was a virtual unknown in South Africa when he was unveiled in February, but had experience of coaching in Sweden and Norway.
He was given a hospital pass in terms of a squad low on quality and confidence, and never really got them to fire, though they did make the Nedbank Cup final at the end of last season, only to be humiliated 4-1 by SuperSport United in the decider.
Their 11th-place finish in the league was the club's worst for 30 years.
