Inter Milan extend Serie A lead with 2-0 victory at Parma

Inter Milan overcame both dense fog and Parma on Wednesday with a 2-0 away victory to move four points clear at the top of Serie A.

The Nerazzurri took advantage of Napoli's stumble against Hellas Verona, the result shifts the pressure entirely onto AC Milan, who must now win on Thursday against Genoa to remain in title contention.

Federico Dimarco's first-half goal and Marcus Thuram's stoppage-time strike secured a sixth straight league win for Inter.

Napoli missed the chance to make up ground after coming from behind to draw 2-2 against Verona with second-half goals from Scott McTominay and Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Inter host Napoli on Sunday.
