Toni Sunjic joins Stuttgart from Kuban Krasnodar on three-year deal

Stuttgart have signed Bosnia-Herzegovina international Toni Sunjic on a three-year deal from Kuban Krasnodar.

Sunjic, 26, replaces Germany international Antonio Rudiger, who was transferred to Roma earlier this month.

The defender has won 14 caps for his country and was part of the country's first-ever World Cup squad last summer.

He has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Stuttgart, after having already started six of Krasnodar's 11 games in the Russian season.

Stuttgart sporting executive Robin Dutt told the club's official website: "We are delighted about the signing of Toni Sunjic.

"With his athleticism and style of play, he fits perfectly into our playing concept. He brings a very strong mentality and international experience to our team."

Sunjic said: "I want to play my part in it being a good season."
