Hull City complete signing of striker Will Keane from Manchester United

Hull City have signed Manchester United forward Will Keane for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.

United were willing to let Keane move before the close of the transfer window with the former England under-21 international well down the pecking order in Jose Mourinho's plans.

"I'm delighted to move here," Keane told Hull's official website. "It's a fresh start and a new challenge for me, so I'm really looking forward to getting things underway."

Keane has had spells out on loan at Wigan, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston in the last three seasons.

A number of clubs had expressed an interest in Keane, but Hull caretaker boss Mike Phelan worked with the player during his time as assistant manager to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and won the race for his signature.

Hull earlier completed the signing of Ryan Mason from Tottenham Hotspur and Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall.
