Former Chelsea man Florent Malouda joins ninth club of career

Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda has joined the ninth club of his professional career by moving to Luxembourg outfit Differdange at the age of 37.

Malouda, a UEFA Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2012 and Premier League champion in 2010, has signed a contract with the club until the end of the season.

The former France international, who was capped 80 times by Les Bleus, had been training with the Differdange squad in recent months before penning his temporary contract.

Malouda has not played competitively at club level since a brief spell at Egyptian side Wadi Degla in early 2016.

He won three caps for French Guiana, his nation of birth, in 2017, making a single appearance in the CONCACAF Gold Cup despite being ineligible. French Guiana were issued a fine as a result and made to forfeit their 0-0 draw with Honduras.
