Toronto FC acquires forward Lucas Janson on loan from Argentina's Tigre

Toronto FC acquired Argentine forward Lucas Janson on loan on Wednesday prior to the closing of Major League Soccer's secondary transfer window.

The team announced the acquisition of Janson, who was playing for Tigre of Superliga Argentina.

"Lucas is a young, dynamic player that has the ability to play out wide, up front and centrally as an attacking midfielder," Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement.

"We wanted to bring in a player that gives us multiple options in the attack and Lucas fits that need. We are excited to bring him in on loan and get him integrated into the group."

The 5-foot-7 Janson, 23, has 10 goals and 10 assists in 82 appearances over six seasons for Tigre.
