Everton are in talks to sign Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez and are interested in Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen, sources close to the Premier League club have told ESPN FC.
Everton are looking to bolster their attacking options this summer, with Romelu Lukaku appearing likely to leave Goodison Park, and now hope to beat Atletico Madrid to Spain under-21 international Sandro.
Atletico had been leading the race for Sandro, who has a release clause of just €6 million (£5.25m), but their transfer ban has put the move in doubt.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman watched Sandro in action on several occasions last season and sources have told ESPN FC that the former Barcelona forward is holding talks with the Premier League club this week about a possible switch to Goodison Park.
Netherlands international Klaassen, meanwhile, is a long-term target, with Koeman now ready to firm up his interest with a bid after having monitored his situation at Ajax for some time.
Klaassen, who has come through the youth ranks at Ajax, is an established member of the Netherlands national team and he helped Ajax reach the final of this season's Europa League final.
Ajax are reluctant to lose the 24-year-old but may find it hard to reject a sizeable offer for the player as he enters the final two years of his contract in Amsterdam.
