Rio Mavuba has indicated he is keen to move on from Lille after this season and would be open to a return to Bordeaux.
The France midfielder has been with the club since January 2008, initially joining on loan following a failed spell with Villarreal before making the move permanent that summer.
He helped Les Dogues win the league and cup double in 2011 and regained his international place, though his last appearance came in their World Cup opener against Honduras last summer.
Now 31 and out of contract at the end of the season, he is open to a new adventure.
"My future? We are discussing it. My agents are there for that reason," he said at a news conference ahead of Sunday's clash with his former club Bordeaux.
"I am still thinking of a probable departure."
If he is to remain in Ligue 1, though, he said Bordeaux would be his only destination.
"Of course, if Bordeaux approach me, I will have to think about it," he told Girondins4ever.
"As I have said, it's a special club for me. It's the club that allowed me to play on the big stage and live my dream, quite simply. It's a club that is always in my heart.
"I have always said, if I play in France, it will be at Lille or Bordeaux."
