The Brazil women's team won the gold medal at the Pan American Games on Saturday, after defeating Colombia 4-0.
Veteran striker Formiga set Brazil on their way with a seventh minute goal as she headed home a free kick.
The score remained 1-0 until after half-time while Colombia goalkeeper Paula Forero had to be substituted after a collision with her own defender.
Brazil then took advantage in the second half and Maurine Dorneles, Andressa and Fabiana all struck in the final stages to claim first place and a gold medal.
In the men's competition, Brazil collected bronze at CIBC Hamilton Pan Am Soccer Stadium after beating Panama 3-1, with the final set to take place on Sunday between Mexico and Uruguay.
