FC Dallas acquired defender Maynor Figueroa from the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday in exchange for allocation money.
Figueroa began his MLS career last August after he was released by Hull City.
He scored once in 10 starts last season.
"Maynor Figueroa is an experienced player that will help solidify our defensive unit," said FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo. "We are excited to have him in Dallas."
Figueroa played over 200 games in England for Wigan from 2008 before moving to Hull in 2013.
The 32-year-old has earned over 100 caps for Honduras and played at the World Cup in 2010 and 2014.
