Augsburg are facing an injury blow ahead of their trip to Liverpool with Raul Bobadilla doubtful for Thursday's match.
The Bundesliga club look set to be without their most dangerous attacker, Bobadilla, as they look for a goal to reach the Europa League round of 16.
Last Thursday, Augsburg held Liverpool to a goalless draw at the WWK-Arena, and this week they travel to Anfield for the second meeting.
However, tests at the weekend reportedly revealed the 28-year-old suffered a muscle tear in the first leg and will not be able to take part on Merseyside, with Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl saying "we will see" with regards his availability.
Kicker reports Bobadilla is set for a two-week lay-off with the problem, and joins key midfielder Daniel Baier on the sidelines.
Without Baier and Bobadilla, Augsburg picked up three crucial points against Hannover on Sunday, and have now put four points between them and Werder Bremen, who are currently 16th, which is the relegation playoff place at the end of the season.
South Korea midfielder Koo Ja-Cheol scored the only goal of the game at Hannover, and goalkeeper Marwin Hitz told reporters: "Those three points were incredibly important for us.
"Our heads are clearer now, especially in view of the reverse fixture at Liverpool. We can now travel there full of anticipation."
