German second division club 1860 Munich announced the signing of former Bayern Munich player Ivica Olic on a one-year-deal.
Olic, 36, joins the Bavarian side as free agent after a one-year stint at Hamburg. The centre-forward made only nine appearances last campaign due to a thigh-injury and was set to retire.
"Generally, one doesn't have to say much about Ivica. His vita speaks for itself," 1860 Munich sporting director Thomas Eichin told the club's official website.
"We know that he always gives hundred percent. He has proved that at his earlier clubs," said Eichin, praising the 36-year-old for his fitness and athleticism.
The Croatian international won domestic titles in Croatia, Russia and Germany. He lifted the Europa League trophy in 2005 with CSKA Moscow.

Olic played 238 times in the Bundesliga, scoring 72 goals. He won the championship with Bayern Munich in 2010 -- the same year he was voted Croatia's player of the year.
In search of regular playing time, the striker moved from Munich to VfL Wolfsburg in 2012. He won the German Cup in 2015 before transferring back to Hamburg, where he has already played from 2007 to 2009.

1860 Munich also announced the signature of free agent Fanol Perdedaj, who previously played for FSV Frankfurt in Germany's second division. The 25-year-old midfielder penned a deal until 2019.
