Bobo is expected to make his debut for Sydney FC in Tuesday's FFA Cup tie against Perth Glory, with coach Graham Arnold predicting big things from the Brazilian striker.
Sydney captain Alex Brosque, who missed the latter part of the last A-League season with a hamstring injury, is also tipped to play at least some of the game at Dorrien Gardens.
Bobo is Sydney FC's most recent recruit and is expected to add some firepower to the Sky Blues front line.
"Bobo is settling in very well and we expect him to play tomorrow night," Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold said.
"He's a fantastic guy, he's fitted in perfectly.
"We're expecting big things from Bobo and I'm sure he'll deliver."
Arnold said Brosque, who re-signed with the club last weekend, had worked very hard in the off-season.
Forward Brosque, who made his comeback in a cameo appearance off the bench in a preseason match against Brisbane, isn't sure how much of Tuesday's game he'll play.
"Some part," Brosque said. "It will depend on how the game is going. Obviously we need to factor in that there could be extra time as well, which is an extra half an hour.
"The body is feeling good the legs are feeling good, so whatever part Arnie feels I can play will be good for me."
Arnold said striker Bernie Ibini, who is still recovering from a broken leg, was the only player not travelling to Perth.
