Marco Veratti to Juventus

Juventus are reportedly set to confirm the signing of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in the coming weeks but could add to it with the capture of PSG central midfielder Verratti. According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, the Italian champions have a strong relationship with the Italian's agent, Mino Raiola, and are prepared to make an offer for the former Pescara star.

Sime Vrsaljko to Manchester United

Jose Mourinho's need for cover in both full-back positions may be met with the acquisition of Atletico Madrid defender Vrsaljko. The 26-year old is primarily a right back and would offer cover for Antonio Valencia but can also play on the left. According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are interested in signing the Croatia defender but may not be willing to match the Spanish club's £30 million pricetag.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos to Arsenal

Arsenal's new head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, may raid his former club in the hope of bolstering his squad's defence. According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners will move on from being priced out of a move for Freiburg's Caglar Soyuncu with a £17.5m bid for Borussia Dortmund's Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The 29-year old's contract expires next summer and could offer a degree of physicality that has been missing from the Arsenal defence in recent years.

Jonny Evans to Arsenal

However, the Daily Mirror believe Arsenal are in fact looking to bring Sokratis and Soyuncu to North London this summer, as well as West Brom central defender Evans. The newspaper claims that Arsenal are prepared to sell Shkodran Mustafi and won't be able to call upon the services of injured Laurent Koscielny until the end of the year and, as such, will need to sign no less than three defenders before the new season.

Jermain Defoe to Rangers

Steven Gerrard is reportedly hoping to bring Defoe on loan to Rangers this summer as the rookie coach looks to bridge the gap between his team and Brendan Rodgers' Celtic. However, the Daily Record report that Defoe's current club, Bournemouth, are hopeful that the English striker will remain at the Premier League side next season and that his £80,000-per-week wages may prove too much for the Ibrox club.
