Transfer Rater: Lazar Markovic to leave Liverpool; Rafinha to Real Betis

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Rafinha to Real Betis

Given he won't be featuring much this season, getting Rafinha's salary off their books is key for Barcelona. However, Real Betis have held out for a loan deal with no obligation to buy the player at the end of it, according to reports. And, in a bid to shore up their asset's worth, Barcelona will reportedly extend Rafinha's contract before he leaves to prevent the 25-year-old being sold at a cut-price in the summer.

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou to Rennes

N'Koudou's time in England hasn't quite worked out as he might have hoped, struggling to get game-time at either Tottenham Hotspur or his loan move last season to Burnley. L'Equipe report that the 23-year-old might be set to move back to France, with Rennes in talks with Spurs over a loan move, and the Ligue 1 club would also like an option to buy included in the deal.

Danny Batth to Leeds United

Pushed down the pecking order now that Wolves are in the Premier League, despite remaining club captain, Batth seems set to leave the Molineux on a temporary basis. Leeds United are interested in taking him on loan, according to the Mirror, but they'll have to battle with Yorkshire rivals, as Batth is also a target for Sheffield Wednesday.

Tammy Abraham to Bordeaux

Abraham could join a growing number of first-team English youngsters to move abroad in search of playing time. L'Equipe are reporting that the 20-year-old is being targeted by Bordeaux. The French side finished sixth in Ligue 1 last season, but have started 2018-19 with only three points from their first three games.

Lazar Markovic to PAOK Salonika

Markovic is still on Liverpool's books after joining in 2014, but he hasn't featured competitively for the Merseyside club in the past three years. Greek outlet SporTime are reporting that PAOK are interested in signing the winger, although the 24-year-old is also a target for Anderlecht after he spent last season there on loan.
