Watford have agreed a loan deal for former West Ham United and Birmingham forward Mauro Zarate, sources close to the Premier League club have told ESPN FC.
Earlier this week, ESPN FC revealed that the Hornets were lining up a move for Fiorentina's Zarate to add to their attacking options.
Zarate left West Ham for Fiorentina last January, but the Argentine has struggled to hold down a regular spot and made just nine appearances this season.
Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa is happy to let him move on, and sources told ESPN FC that both clubs had agreed the terms of a loan deal.
Zarate will become Watford's second signing of the month following the arrival of Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley on loan.
