Tom Cleverley is set to seal a permanent switch from Everton to Watford if he triggers a clause in his loan deal this weekend, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Cleverley, 27, joined Watford on loan during the January transfer window after finding himself down the pecking order at Everton.
Everton are willing to sell the midfielder as he does not figure in Ronald Koeman's plans at Goodison Park, with the January arrival of Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United helping fill his void in the squad.
Cleverley has made seven starts in the Premier League since arriving at Watford and as part of his loan agreement an appearance clause was included to make the move permanent.
The clause is expected to be triggered if he starts in Saturday's clash with Sunderland and the midfielder is happy to make the move to Vicarage Road permanent.
Former Manchester United midfielder Cleverley has impressed at Watford since joining the club and Hornets manager Walter Mazzarri has expressed a desire to keep hold of him.
