The Colorado Rapids have ended forward Joe Mason's loan from English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers early, the MLS club announced Thursday.
Mason, 27, joined Colorado before the start of the 2018 season as part of a loan from Wanderers,. He played in 14 MLS games for Colorado and scored three goals in 758 minutes.
He scored the first two goals in the first three games, and the final one in a win over Minnesota on June 23.
The Rapids are expected to make a roster move to replace Mason, and MLSsoccer.com reported Wednesday that they could be pursing attacker Giles Barnes.
