Brisbane Roar have confirmed that Robbie Fowler will no longer coach the A-League side, citing the coronavirus pandemic as a major factor in the Liverpool legend's decision to leave the club.
Fowler returned to the United Kingdom in March after Football Federation Australia announced an indefinite postponement of the A-League due to COVID-19 and, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, is not comfortable returning to Australia while his family remain overseas.

"The world's changed, we never expected this. It's a shame because the way we were building was beautiful," Brisbane vice-chairman Chris Fong told the Herald.
"We're extremely disappointed but that's the circumstances of this pandemic."
Fowler has previously said that his decision to move to Australia was a gamble that paid off, pointing to Brisbane's improved record under his guidance.
"I took over a team that was struggling, for a couple of years they've struggled really bad, last year they conceded 71 goals," Fowler told Optus Sport in May.
"[I knew this] was a massive gamble for me. I knew I wanted to do it. I knew I wanted to be a coach. I think me going to the other side of the world showed how dedicated I am, how passionate I am, how much I wanted it.
"It was a huge gamble because it could have gone either way but thankfully I took to it. To me it was a gamble that has definitely paid off."
The Roar currently sit fourth on the A-League table and have five regular season games plus playoffs left to play.
The rebooted competition has been scheduled for a July 16 restart and will wind up by Aug. 31.
